What's in a SkyWise notice.

AIRSPACE

Restrictions of Flying Regulations

Temporary airspace restrictions (RA(T)s) around events — air shows, parades, ceremonial activity, sporting events. Often "Drone-only" — they restrict unmanned aircraft but not crewed aviation. Always check before any survey flight near a flagged area on a flagged date.

REGULATION

CAP updates and consultations

Amendments to CAA Publications (CAP 722, CAP 1789, CAP 3248 etc.). Calls for input from operators on proposed rule changes. These are the notices that change how commercial drone operations must be run.

INNOVATION

Sandbox & trial outcomes

Status updates from the CAA Innovation Sandbox — BVLOS trials, Atypical Air Environment operations, Project Skyway corridors, electric and hybrid airframe trials. Forward indicators of where the regulatory envelope is moving.

SAFETY

Safety bulletins & occurrence reports

Mandatory Occurrence Reports of note, drone-related incidents that change the safety case, and CHIRP confidential reporting feedback. Worth reading even when not directly relevant — they preview where rules tend to tighten.

HOW WE USE THIS PAGE

How we use SkyWise.

01

Pre-flight check

Every mission intake checks SkyWise for any active drone notices in the mission area for the flight window. Anything flagged is reviewed before quote-out.

02

Regulatory monitoring

CAP updates and consultations are read and digested into our Operations Manual. Material changes get a briefing in our Intel section.

03

Client briefings

If a SkyWise notice affects a planned survey, we tell the client before they commit. Same-day quote, same-day notice if SkyWise has flagged something.

Need a SkyWise-aware survey?

We check the latest CAA notices on every mission. Fixed quote within one working day, PDF report delivered promptly after the flight — and if SkyWise has flagged something for your site, you'll hear about it before you commit.
